This Saturday: United Way Day

Posted on 12.13.2011

Last year, United Way agencies helped 9,189 people right here in Marquette County. It might have been an addiction recovery, a night spent in emergency shelter, help paying a heating bill, or a meal served to a home-bound senior. United Way is the largest non-government funder of human services in the U.S.

How can you help? It’s easy. On Saturday, December 17, our Co-op will be donating 1% of store sales to our local United Way. In addition, shoppers will have the opportunity to make a donation in exchange for coffee and live music. 100% of the coffee and music donations will be added to the amount taken from store sales.

10am – Noon    Dead River Coffee offering delicious, local brew.
Noon – 2pm      Seth Krause & Friends playing live music.

Join us in the spirit of giving. Eat local, give local, help local!
