DESCRIPTION:This July\, we’re bringing back our Round Up at the Register program to help provide for our local pantries.\n\n\n\nFood pantries are seeing a high demand for help this summer. Inflation\, decreased federal aid\, children missing school meals–everything adds up to more need for food pantries.\n\n\n\nWhile our pantries combat increasing food insecurity\, donations tend to dwindle in summer. To help them meet their demand\, the Marquette Food Co-op will be collecting donations at checkout throughout July.\n\n\n\nCashiers will ask customers if they would like to round up their total to the nearest dollar or more. These donations will be used to purchase items specifically demanded by local food pantries. These pantries include: St. Vincent de Paul (Marquette\, Gwinn\, Ishpeming)\, The NMU Food Pantry\, and The Salvation Army (Marquette\, Ishpeming).\n\n\n\nConsider donating this month when you pay for your produce\, and help us provide for those in our community.
