MFC Gift Card Programs
In addition to having individual gift cards available for purchase by our customers, the Marquette Food Co-op offers discounts to those wishing to buy them in bulk for their business, organization, or cause. Our gift cards can be part of your next fundraising effort or business incentive program. Whether your church or school is looking to raise money or you are hoping to support healthy lifestyles for your employees, we have a program that can help. Read on to learn more about The Marquette Food Co-op’s Scrip and Wellness Advocacy Programs.
For more information on either of these programs contact Matt Loos at 906-225-0671, ext. 716 or customerservice@marquettefood.coop.
Scrip Program
What is the MFC Scrip Program and who can participate?
The MFC Scrip Program provides a fundraising opportunity for local, educational, and grassroots nonprofit organizations. As the intent of the program is to strengthen and support our community, any school or nonprofit organization with a 501(c)(3) status can become a MFC Scrip participant. We do not offer Scrip discounts to the general public or to businesses. If you are a business representative looking to purchase cards in bulk, please fill out our Wellness Advocacy Form below.
How does it work?
Your organization can purchase our gift cards at a reduced price (based on quantity), which you will sell to participants/supporters for full value, earning the difference of that purchase.
Are there order limits for Scrip?
We require a minimum of $100 in the Scrip program. Denominations of gift cards permitted are $10 or greater.
Scrip orders of $100 – $499 are offered at a 5% discount.
Scrip orders of $500 – $999 are offered at a 7% discount.
Scrip orders greater than $1,000 are offered at a 10% discount.
Does it expire?
Scrip gift cards are treated the same as any other MFC gift card. The cards are reusable/rechargeable and never expire.

Wellness Advocacy Program
What is the MFC Wellness Advocacy Program and who can participate?
The MFC Wellness Advocacy Program was put in place to offer MFC gift cards as incentives for businesses and organizations large and small. The program works much like our Scrip Program, except it is offered to for-profit businesses.
How does it work?
You or your organization can purchase our gift cards at a reduced price (based on quantity), which you can offer as a bonus, incentive, or gift with the knowledge that it will be spent locally on wholesome and tasty food or other merchandise.
Incentivized business wellness programs can look a variety of ways. Some companies reward any proof of health activities or initiatives outside of work, while others provide specific programming options, such lunch and learns or group walks at breaks. Some also choose to reward employees for hitting health goals, such as lowering cholesterol or losing weight. The gift cards may be awarded directly to all who participate, or employees can be entered into a raffle for the reward. How these gift cards are used is up to you. But by choosing to reward with a Co-op gift card, you offer a tangible benefit to employees that further supports a healthy lifestyle.
