Outreach Services

The Marquette Food Co-op provides access to organic and wholesome products; we’re also dedicated to providing education about food and related issues that will support a healthy, diverse, and sustainable community. Whether the class covers creating an Indian dinner, eating healthy on a budget, or beginning bee keeping, you can expect a welcoming atmosphere with friendly, knowledgeable instructors.

Unless otherwise noted, events are hosted in the Co-op classroom, located in the basement of the store. Prices vary according to the time and materials needed. Read on to learn more about our programming.

Public Cooking Classes

Our public cooking classes are open to anyone, and are often taught by experienced cooks from the community. These classes run September through May and are offered at affordable prices to give more people access to food education. In the summer, you’ll find us at area farmers markets, where we share how to use the freshest local ingredients.
