COVID-19 Food Advocacy Opportunities

COVID-19 has exposed weaknesses in many parts of the food system. This includes equitable access to food. The Marquette Food Co-op believes good food should be a part of everyone’s life, so we are excited to help spread the word about potential federal policy changes that support food access. We hope that you will join us in supporting this legislation by signing on, using these letters (links below) as templates, or calling our representatives.

Join several organizations asking the USDA to act before September 30 to extend critical nationwide child nutrition program waivers through the rest of the school year. This would make free school lunches universal during the 2020/2021 school year.  Learn more here.
