Special shopping hour for at- risk populations at the MFC
Starting on Wednesday, April 1 from 9-10am, The Marquette Food Co-op is adding a special shopping time for at-risk populations. This includes senior citizens, pregnant women, or those with compromised immune systems, who have been advised to avoid leaving home as much as possible.
“While we have online shopping and curbside grocery pick-up to help people minimize their time out of their home, we understand that there still might be a need for some people to come into the store for shopping. Maybe they have questions for our knowledgeable staff or need to place a special order. Whatever the reason, we want them to stay healthy and feel safe,” says Sarah Monte, Outreach Director. “We ask our other shoppers to continue to come at our new opening time of 10am to help protect at-risk populations.”
The special shopping time for at-risk populations will be every Wednesday from 9-10am for now. Things are changing quickly during this time, so be sure to check the Marquette Food Co-op social media and website regularly for updates on hours of operation and other news.
