Recalls

Recalls are a fact of life, even with attention paid to food safety at every step of the food supply chain. We want to make sure that you know about recalls on products that we carry in our store in a timely manner, so we post both Class 1 as well and voluntary recalls on this page. If you are a Co-op owner/member and have purchased an item that is part of a Class 1 recall, we will notify you via the phone and/or email using the contact information that we have on file for you.

You can also sign up to receive notifications of active food recalls on the FDA’s recall webpage.

If you believe that you have been affected by a food borne illness, please visit your health care provider for confirmation and contact the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development toll-free at 1-800-292-3939 or send an e-mail to mda-info@michigan.gov.
