Antojitos Mexicanos, or “little cravings”, are served everywhere in Mexico- restaurants, markets, street vendors, and family meals. Antojitos include tacos, quesadillas, tamales, soups, elotes, empanadas, fajitas, and more. In this class, taught by Mexico City native and longtime Marquette resident Veronica Peterson, you will learn how to create a variety of delicious antojitos. We’ll cook beans the traditional Mexican way, and use Mexican ingredients like epazote and plantains. Attendees will enjoy homemade tortillas stuffed with picadillos, a flavorful ground beef dish with tomatoes, onions, and something spicy. The meal will be rounded out with Mexican wedding cakes and agua fresca de Jamaica. Buen provecho!
