Introducing your littles to their first foods is an exciting milestone; an introductory experience that can help shape a positive relationship with eating right from the start. In this class, we’ll focus on colorful, veggie-filled dishes that are low in both sugar and salt and perfect for small hands and developing palates. Recipes are great for batch cooking and freezing since life as a new parent can be hectic and time is precious.
Gluten free options will be covered

FAQs
How do I pay for the class?
Currently, we are only accepting payment online. You are required to pay at the time of registration using a credit or debit card through Eventbrite.
How will I be “attending” the class?
The day of the event, Eventbrite will send you a reminder of the class start time. Click on the link provided in that email and you will be directed to the online event page. Click the play button on that page to join the class. Please make sure to “arrive” about 10 minutes prior to the class start time. This will allow us all time to get settled and handle any technical difficulties. We will not admit participants any earlier than 10 minutes.
What is the difference between a DEMO and a HANDS-ON cooking class?
Demonstration (DEMO) style classes are intended for you to sit back and relax while the instructor walks you through the recipe step by step. They are not designed as a cook-along class. You will be sent the recipe at least 5 days prior to the class. All key elements will be shown in class, but instructors may complete time-consuming steps in advance.
HANDS-ON style classes are intended for you to cook along with the instructor. You will create the exact same recipes as they are cooking in approximately the same amount of time. You will be sent the recipes and any prep notes at least 5 days before the class. Please make sure to allow yourself enough time to purchase ingredients and to carefully review the prep notes. The prep notes outline what tasks must be done in advance of the class to ensure we can move along at a comfortable pace.
How will I get the recipes?
You will receive an email instructing you to visit the online event page when the recipes and class prep notes are available. We highly suggest you print any recipes and any prep notes well in advance of the class. This step is essential if you want to partake in the HANDS-ON style classes.
Will I be able to watch the class again?
Yes. After the class you will be sent a recorded version. This recording will be available for 30 days after the class but you’re welcome to download it to your computer to watch indefinitely.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Amanda Latvala at alatvala@marquettefood.coop
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, but please email Amanda Latvala at altavala@marquettefood.coop if you are going to transfer your ticket. You will need to provide us with the name of the person taking your place. We cross check our attendee list with those joining the class via the Zoom link. For privacy concerns, we are not permitted to let anyone into an online class who is not on our attendee list, so you must inform us of attendee name changes. Please also be sure that your name on Zoom matches your registration name.
What is the refund policy?
Sorry, at this time virtual classes are nonrefundable.
