Cheese, potato, veggies – what do they have in common? Each are the main ingredient of three different styles of latkes. Latkes, a traditional Jewish potato pancake with roots in Italy, are super fun and easy to make. In this class taught by the MFC’s Education Coordinator and Registered Dietitian Amanda Latvala, you will learn how to make three different styles of latkes ranging from traditional to a more modern take. Each is accompanied by a complimentary sauce. This class will teach techniques of grating, slicing, measuring, and frying. The kids are sure to go home with a love for latkes. Class is designed for children ages 8-12. Adult supervision is not required, but parents or guardians are welcome to attend. Adult attendees must purchase their own ticket.
